Composing an Argumentable Essay..

COMPOSING ESSAYS !!!! :]

Different types of essays
Descriptive, narrative, argumentative, expository.

Exploring the issue
-explore arguments on all sides of issue
-question and defend each arguments premises
-revise and rethink arguments as they emerge

Main points of an essay
Introduction
-explain the question (note key words)
-make a definite claim or proposal
Body
-develop arguments fully
-consider objections
-consider alternatives
Conclusion
-don't summarize
-make a point
e.g "all that i've said so far points to THIS.."
-well-justified conclusion

E.g  "Without freedom there can be no morality.."
Discuss the implications of this statement.

Writing
-follow your outline

1.) Main point 
     Substantiation -     explain
                                       elaborate
   Counter argument- exemplify
   End of paragraph.

Mr X. says 
"Science isn't true but disagree because......"

Follow your outline.
