Murder Trial Re-enactment

Today, we participated in a re-enactment of a murder trial, role-playing the various people involved in it based on a given scenario. The whole account is basically about a girl named Mindy Tan who allegedly killed her boyfriend, John Lim at her house. The people playing the various roles involved are as follows:

Jess-Mindy

Ren Jean-Mindy’s father

Angeline-Mindy’s mother

Arjuna-pathologist

Jia Sheng-ambulance driver

Ben & Ben-prosecution team

Kara & Gerald-Defense team

Mr. Dio-Judge

The objectives of the whole activity were either to convict Mindy of murder/voluntary manslaughter (for the prosecution) or to acquit her (for the defense). This would be achieved by each side by presenting relevant questions to the various witnesses in order to gather information and evidence on the incident sufficient to either convict or acquit Mindy. The prosecution’s witnesses were the pathologist and ambulance driver while the defenses’ were Mindy and her parents.
